Dance Art 2024

Ventura County Ballet presented Dance Art April 14, 2024 at the Museum of Ventura County in downtown Ventura. It was a collection of staging, choreography, live music and visual arts by Ventura locals, featuring Ventura County Ballet company dancers. The performance was followed by a catered reception with the artists in the museum courtyard.

THE NUTCRACKER 2023

Ventura County Ballet returned to Oxnard Performing Arts Center December 9-10, 2023 to present our 25th anniversary The Nutcracker. It was a glorious season featuring a cast of over 80 performers headlined by guest artist Aaron Symth as the Prince and company member Elizaveta Domracheva as Princess Clara.

a midsummer night’s dream and The fairy Doll 2023

Ventura County Ballet presented two one-act ballets - A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Fairy Doll April 15, 2022 at Rancho Campana Performing Arts Center. It was an exciting to return to presenting Spring Ballets after pausing our Spring productions due to the pandemic. The Fairy Doll stared high school senior Ventura County Ballet pre professional Ella Ullrich as The Fairy Doll and delighted audiences of all ages. A Midsummer Night’s Dream featured a cast of guest and company dancers and was truly a dream come true to perform.

THE NUTCRACKER 2022

Ventura County Ballet presented our 24 annual The Nutcracker December 3rd, 10th and 11th, 2022 at Rancho Campana Performing Arts Center. The holiday magic was alive and festive as ever with Hanna Chudinova staring as Princess Clara and Jack Stewart as her Prince.

The Nutcracker 2021

Ventura County Ballet returned to an indoor stage at Rancho Campana Performing Arts Center December 11-12, 2021 to sold out audiences. High school freshman Ventura County Ballet pre professional Miranda Aguilar performed the role of Clara while VCB company dancer Elizaveta Domracheva and guest artist Aaron Smyth wowed audiences as Dream Clara and the Prince.

THE NUTCRACKER 2020

Ventura County Ballet creatively found a solution to the pandemic-related regional ‘Stay At Home Order’ underway late 2020 by collaborating with CBF Productions to present The Nutcracker to audiences in their cars on a giant outdoor stage at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.

The Nutcracker 2019

Ventura County Ballet presented its 21st annual The Nutcracker to huge audiences at Oxnard Performing Arts Center December 7-8 and Ventura College Performing Arts Theater December 13-15, 2019. Performances were accompanied by the Ventura College Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Robert Lawson. Guest artists Luna Sayag and Victor Jarvis dazzled as the leads.

SLEEPING BEAUTY 2019

Ventura County Ballet presented the classical fairytale ballet of Sleeping Beauty May 19, 2019 at Oxnard Performing Arts Center. Audiences fell in love with the romance of the tale and adored Princess Aurora danced by guest artists Deise Mendonca and Prince Desire Aaron Smyth.

The Nutcracker 2018

Ventura County Ballet 20th anniversary season December 1-2 and 7-9, 2018 was both a celebration of unveiling a complete set of scenic drops painted by Yuri Samadurov, Chief Artist of the Komi Republic State Theater of Opera and Ballet, but also a test as we worked through the heartbreak of the Thomas Fire. Some of our performances were rescheduled, but ultimately not derailed, as we persevered in delighting audiences with the holiday magic and joy of The Nutcracker.

THE NUTCRACKER 2017

Ventura County Ballet’s 19th season spread holiday joy to audiences at Oxnard Performing Arts Center December 2-3, 2017 and Ventura College Performing Arts Center December 8-10, 2017. The incredible artistry of guest artists Kate Kadow dancing as Princess Clara and Aaron Smyth as her beloved Prince were a delight to audiences - it was a season to remember.
